1. If his quilt was all in one piece, I could use the ceiling fan without disturbing what's on the design wall - er, floor.

Cute post. I have the exact same problem with the fan. I can only run mine on low if my design wall is full and my quilt room is really a veranda room so three walls are windows. It gets very warm in the summer!
This is going to be a beautiful quilt- cannot wait to see it finished!
